Get involved and come to one of our local events.

The Covid crisis has prevented us from organising any events.

However, we did recently encourage people to count the stars they could see in the Orion galaxy from their own gardens, balconies, doorsteps and bedroom windows in order that they could contribute to a national survey on light pollution.

The results from Star Count are helping us make a map of where star-spotters are enjoying deep, dark skies. By showing on a map where light pollution is most serious, we can work with local councils and others to decide what to do about it.

Explore what we learned from Star Count 2021.
