We’re passionate about making the countryside a better place for everyone to live, work and enjoy.
We want to connect people to the countryside, wherever they live.
Love the countryside? Want to help us make it even better? Find out how.
Want to know about things to see and do in the countryside near you? We can help.
We need your help to improve public transport in Nottinghamshire

We've got a lovely little stall at the St Wulfram's Church Christmas Tree Festival in #Grantham 🎄❄️
The festival runs until Sunday 28th, so if you're in the area, do stop by, and leave a tag on our tree telling us why the countryside matters to you 💚
There has been some great coverage of our 'State of Brownfield' report over the past week 👍
We're calling on the government to make better use of brownfield of land across the country >>>
We believe that #brownfieldisbest when it comes to developing on land 👍
Read CPRE's hot-off-the-press brownfield report here, along with more about our ongoing work promoting a brownfield first policy >>>
The natural world might be slowing down during autumn, but there's still plenty to see!
Guardian country diarist Susie White (@cottagegardener) gives us the low-down on what to look out for this November, and how we can connect with the wild 👇
📣 LIVE IN #NOTTS? – TAKE PART IN OUR SHORT PUBLIC TRANSPORT SURVEY 📣

Today is #WorldKindnessDay, an event created by @RAKFoundation to encourage acts of kindness today, and every day 💚
Kindness between people is a win-win, and this year in particular we'd like to encourage kindness to our planet too 🌍
Today we mark the signing of the #Armistice, bringing an end to the #FirstWorldWar.
People up and down the country will be taking part in a two minute silence at 11am this morning. We'll be joining them to remember the military and civilian sacrifices of the First World War.
Beavers have returned to #Nottinghamshire 😄
Beaver dams improve water quality, recharge groundwater levels AND help to create rich habitats for birds, amphibians and invertebrates 🐸 🐦
Huge congrats to @Nottswildlife for their campaigning efforts.
Tomorrow is the #GlobalDayofAction for Climate Justice.
It's an opportunity to join together and campaign for climate action, for now and for generations to come.
Teams from CPRE will be joining marches across the country!

This week is @ISMA_UK #NationalStressAwarenessWeek
Stress is widespread across the modern world. But, we believe (and studies show) that the #countryside is part of the solution.
It's why we work hard to make sure our everyone can benefit from our green spaces.
The government's pledges to #brownfield development is welcome news and shows the impact of our collective campaigning 👏
We're going to work hard to ensure the government is held to account.
Check out this piece citing CPRE brownfield research 👇
Our former Chair, Fred, recently received a CPRE 'Special Contribution' award for his incredible work over the years in the Nottinghamshire local group 🎖️
Thank you Fred, for your dedication to the #countryside in #Nottinghamshire! 💚
The #ClimateChange @COP26 begins next week.
This event brings together global leaders to set out climate ambitions for the world.
Our #countryside and green spaces are central to how we tackle climate change.
This year, we want to see bold commitment leading to action.
It's not just in the countryside where #hedges can play a role for the planet 🌍
Planting even a small #hedgerow in our gardens will provide food and shelter for all kinds of #wildlife 🍃🐦
Find out more in this article, which cites @CPRE research: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/research-cpre-birds-roses-one-b1935977.html
We are pleased to have stood with #wildlife organisations, local #councils and more than 70 people to object to the #fracking application at #Misson.
This is great news and testament to the commitment of the #community and #campaigners 👏
Great to see @CPRE research mentioned in this article about building on #brownfield land.
Brownfield land is ripe for development. A brownfield-first policy means more #green spaces and more space for #nature to thrive 🍃 🌻
We're in the midst of @TheTreeCouncil Seed Gathering Season 🌳
That means it's a great time to get outdoors and gather seeds, nuts and berries to plant in your own garden 🌱
Try hawthorn or sloe berries for a great wildlife friendly option.

With #October upon us, #autumn is hitting its stride! 🍂
It might be getting cooler, but this is still a great time to experience the green spaces in #Nottinghamshire
